On Monday 3 August 2026 Dr. Safiya George, President of the University of the Virgin Islands and members of her cabinet appeared before the Legislature of the Virgin Islands Committee on Budget, Appropriations and Finance to present the FY27 budget and provide an update on the University’s successes and response to the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Show Cause Notice.
UVI is next scheduled to appear before the Legislature of the Virgin Islands Committee on Education and Workforce Development on Wednesday 7 October 2026.
