I am pleased to announce that the University of the Virgin Islands has been selected as a 2026 Connected Award Winner.
The Connected Awards (previously known as the Student Success Collaborative Awards) recognize leaders and innovators who are advancing student success and institutional goals through thoughtful strategy, collaboration, and impactful use of technology. The University of the Virgin Islands has been selected to receive the Student Journey Award. This award recognizes an institution that connects and improves key elements of the student journey, including enrollment, student success, career outcomes, and/or advancement, through integrated strategy and EAB technology.
“We are honored to receive EAB’s Student Journey Award, which reflects the University of the Virgin Islands’ unwavering commitment to student success at every stage of the educational experience. This recognition affirms the intentional work of our faculty, staff, and partners to create a more connected, data-informed, and student-centered institution. Through our GRAND Momentum Strategic Plan, we are strengthening pathways from enrollment to graduation and career success, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to thrive and leave a lasting impact on our communities,” said Dr. Safiya George, President of the University of the Virgin Islands.
“We are thrilled to celebrate your achievements as an early adopter of Enrollment Success, particularly your work to improve the student experience while deepening cross-campus collaboration, all while testing new features, providing feedback, and helping us continue to enhance our Enrollment Success product,” said Richard Staley, Vice President, Technology Partner Success at EAB (formerly known as the Education Advisory Board) in his congratulatory letter.
“Your work stood out among an impressive slate of partner stories, and we are excited to celebrate your success,” Staley continued. “Thank you for your commitment to improving outcomes for students and for the example you set for institutions across the EAB community. We are honored to recognize your work and celebrate this well-deserved honor,” his letter concluded.
As a Connected Awards winner, UVI will be recognized on stage during the conference at Connected26, taking place October 26–28, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, where recipients from each of the eight award categories will be invited to showcase their work with the broader community.
