Meet Ms. Kelly Harrigan – Our New Board Liaison & Administrator

By Dr. Safiya George

It is with great pleasure that I welcome Ms. Kelly Harrigan to the University of the Virgin Islands Office of the President as our new Board Liaison and Administrator.

A proud Virgin Islander, Ms. Harrigan brings over 30 years of experience in information technology, project management, and higher education administration. Her impressive career includes leadership at UVI as Director of Information Technology, program administration of a $20 million National Science Foundation grant through VI-EPSCoR, and technical and management roles at Temple University, Florida International University, and AT&T Wireless. She is also deeply engaged in community service through Rotary International and has contributed her expertise on UVI’s Institutional Review Board.

In her new role, Ms. Harrigan will serve as the primary contact for our Board of Trustees, coordinating meetings and communications while ensuring seamless operations between the Board, administration, and stakeholders. Her proven leadership, strategic insight, and commitment to service will strengthen our governance processes and support UVI’s continued growth as a premier institution of higher education in the Virgin Islands and beyond.

Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Ms. Harrigan as she steps into this important role. I look forward to the many ways her expertise and dedication will help us advance our mission, vision, and the values of “One UVI.”
