The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) conferred an honorary degree of Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D.) upon distinguished media leader and community advocate, Dr. Rena Brodhurst, in recognition of her extraordinary contributions to journalism, civic engagement, and the preservation of the Virgin Islands’ historical and cultural narrative during its 2026 Commencement Ceremony on St. Croix, on Friday 15 May 2026.
