The School of Business proudly hosted the 2025 Entrepreneur Business Institute (EBI) Summer Program from July 6–19, welcoming 25 high school students from across the U.S. Virgin Islands. This immersive, tuition-free program was designed to develop students’ entrepreneurial mindset, leadership abilities, and professional skills through short-term management courses and hands-on learning experiences.
Throughout the two-week residential program, students engaged in interactive workshops, developed business strategies, and experienced a glimpse of college life on the University of the Virgin Islands’ Orville E. Kean campus. They were mentored by faculty, business professionals, and community leaders committed to nurturing the next generation of innovators.

By the program’s end, each participant successfully crafted a realistic business plan for launching a microbusiness and received a seed funding stipend from the School of Business to help turn their ideas into reality.

The EBI Summer Program continues to advance its mission of preparing young adults to thrive in the evolving workforce of the United States Virgin Islands, equipping them not only with knowledge but also with the confidence and tools to lead.
